Location 1- Home pool
We have roughly 20 acres of land so our mailing address is on one side of the property, but the pool entrance that can accommodate traffic and parking is on the other side, thus the reason the pool location and mailing address are different. The pool is located on Wilkerson Rd down a gravel road that is shared by 3 other houses. One of those houses has the street address of 5876, so if you want to mapquest the directions, put in 5876 Wilkerson Rd, Rex, 30273. Otherwise here are the directions coming from Hwy 42/ NorthHenry Blvd.
Traveling down Hwy 42/N Henry Blvd, at the light at the end of the hump bridge that goes over the railroad tracks turn down East Atlanta Road. Follow East Atlanta approximately 1.7 miles then take a left on Stagecoach Rd. Follow Stagecoach approx 1.1 miles then take a right on Wilkerson Rd. Go approx one mile and you will see a swimming lessons sign. (If you are traveling the opposite direction on Wilkerson, the sign is partially hidden by the mailbox.) Turn down that gravel road and follow the arrows. As you pull into the parking lot area park on the left and pull all the way up. From there you can walk up the gravel walkway to the pool.
We do have a pool house where parents can escape the sun. The pool house is complete with two 1/2 bathrooms for swimmers to use. We still encourage your children to use the bathroom prior to coming and try to limit all snacks and drinks along the way.
While the pool area itself is very spacious, the shade is limited. You may want to bring an umbrella.
The pool has a very shallow area located in the L that can accommodate most 3 year olds. This is where WaterBabies, Toddler Time and Level 1 classes are held. The rectangular portion of the L begins at 4 feet and goes to a depth of 10 feet. This area is used for levels 2 and up.
The pool uses a saline, salt-water system. This chlorine alternative is softer on the eyes, the skin, and the hair. The chlorine levels are maintained at a high level to combat the heavy traffic and is tested daily by a Certified Pool Operator. To help prevent algae, we request that you come with a clean swim suit. If you had been previously swimming in another pool or especially if you had been swimming in a lake or pond, please wash your suit prior to lessons.
