Mr. Benson

Mr. Benson has been a part of The Swim Center team since 2017. Mr. Benson's  interest in water safety began after his two children took swim lessons at The Swim Center. As a parent of an autistic child, Mr. Benson believes all children have the ability to learn new ideas, concepts, and skills with a teacher who connects with and earns each child's trust.

Mrs. Meg

Mrs. Meg's love for swimming began as a child when her and her siblings began swimming competitively on community swim teams. She continued competing throughout high school and later joined the University of Georgia swim team while pursuing a degree in education. Mrs. Meg continued her education by earning multiple masters degrees and later becoming a high school and elementary school principal. As a water aerobics participant with The Swim Center, she enjoyed watching the instructors and their classes. Mrs. Meg soon became an assistant instructor. She is now a master instructor on our team.

Mrs. Mary

Now a master instructor with The Swim Center, Mary joined The Swim Center Team in 1997 as an assistant instructor. A graduate of Forest Park High School in 2006, Mary competed with her high school swim team under the amazing tutelage of Coach Jennifer Hill. She was also a member of the Tara Tarpons swim team for several years. Working her way through college, Mary balanced studies and continued teaching part-time at The Swim Center. After graduating with a degree in Public Relations and Marketing from Georgia State University in 2010, her love for children and a passion for swimming has still allowed her to teach at The Swim Center as well as pursue a career with a firm in Atlanta.

Miss Hannah C

After obtaining her Lifeguard certification and WSI certification in 2013, Miss Hannah wanted to share her love for the swimming by becoming a swim instructor. She joined The Swim Center Team in 2014. Miss Hannah is currently attending Covenant College where she will earn her degree in Music Education.

Mr. Lawson

Mr. Lawson began his career with The Swim Center in 2016 as a Life Guard. He is a fan of soccer, volleyball, and swimming. Mr. Lawson is a competitive swimmer for his high school swim team qualifying for the state swim meet in several events. He enjoys playing soccer on his high school team.

Miss Joanna

Miss Joanna is a student at Georgia Southern University where she is pursuing a business degree in Economics. She plans to continue her education by attending law school and practicing corporate law in Atlanta. Miss Joanna began as a student at The Swim Center when she was 3 years old. After completing Level 6, she joined the Tara Tarpons Dive Team in which she was competitive in spring board diving.

Mrs. Rachel

Mrs. Rachel joined our team in 2010 as a Lifeguard. She is currently pursuing a degree in Business with plans to continue her education in Dental Hygiene. Mrs. Rachel recently married and is a wife to a Military Police Officer. She became a master instructor in 2012 after receiving her Water Safety Instruction Certification.

Miss Katy B

Miss Katy is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Needs at College of Coastal Georgia. She joined The Swim Center Team in 2014 as an assistant instructor. The experience she gained working with children in the pool led her to seek a career working with children. Miss Katy volunteers with her church and has traveled to Africa, Peru and Costa Rica on missions trips.

Miss Malani

Once a student at The Swim Center, Miss Malani is now an instructor. She began taking swim lessons in 2013 in a Level 1 class. After completing a Level 6 class a few years later, Miss Malani decided she would like to work in an environment she enjoyed. Miss Malani is currently taking dual enrollment and honors courses to prepare her for a future in healthcare.

Mrs Sloan

Mrs. Sloan's career with The Swim Center began in 2011 when she took a Level 5 class with her daughter. Upon completing Level 6, Mrs. Sloan spent the next summer training to become a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. She volunteers with Crosswalk Ministries USA and Shakespeare Tavern. Mrs. Sloan is currently working on becoming a certified chiropractic assistant. She enjoys traveling and eating dark chocolate.

Mr. Paul

When Mr. Paul was 5 years old, his parents enrolled him in his first Level 1 class at The Swim Center. Swimming was a struggle for Mr. Paul, but all of his hard work and perseverance paid off. At 13 years of age his efforts paid off and he joined his community swim team. Now a USA Swimmer who competes competitively year round and a GRPA State Swim qualifier, Mr. Paul shares his love and knowledge as a master instructor and life guard.
