Hi, I'm Sierra Hill and I am 9 years old. I go to Woodland Elementary.
I am the daughter of Jennifer. My first experience in the pool was at 4 weeks old and the first time I went under was at 6 weeks old. Of course, I don't remember this, but I hear my mom tell the
story often. By the end of the summer that I was 2 I could swim all over the pool by myself without my mom even having to put on her bathing suit.
When I was 7, my mom let me get in on a couple of classes and help out. My job was mostly keeping the kids in
line and telling them to move down. As I interacted with the kids, I learned that I really liked working with them. Then the summer I
was 8, my mom let me help more during classes and even let me help with the waterbabies. They are definitely my favorite. That summer, she also let me do private lessons which worked out great because I was able to make some money and parents could get a real deal by not using a "real"
instructor.
I work best with waterbabies, level 1, then level 3-6. I don't get to work with level 2's that much because they are really learning to swim in the deep end and it isn't very safe for me or the swimmer sometimes. I love teaching private lessons and have had a couple of
kids that signed up with me on a regular weekly basis.
Aside from swimming in my backyard, I have also swam for 3 years now for the SMART program. My favorite strokes are breaststroke and freestyle. I am hoping to swim with FAST this summer if my mom can make it work out, but with her busy schedule, that probably means
no. I have also played soccer since I was 3, but it is not my "niche". I am hoping to start gymnastics in the fall. During the school year, I also play piano and go to Spanish lessons.
If you are looking for private lessons, make sure to sign up with me because I'm the cheapest!
